GEORGE WHITTY AND ELLIS HALL

Ellis Hall Jr. was born in Savannah, Georgia, and known professionally as Ellis Hall is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, actor and composer. He was described as "The Ambassador of Soul" by conductor, Jeff Tyzik. Hall has been blind since the age of 18. Citing Ray Charles as his inspiration, Hall has written over 4000 soul, gospel, blues and pop songs, and has performed and recorded with Stevie Wonder, James Taylor, Natalie Cole, Patti LaBelle, Toby Keith, Herbie Hancock, George Benson, Bobby Womack, Sheila E, Maurice White of Earth, Wind and Fire, Tower of Power and Ray Charles, to mention a few. He was the voice in the California Raisins commercial, along with the voice in numerous movies, as composer, actor and accompanist.

FYI: Charles signed Hall to his record label Crossover Records and mentored him until Charles' death in 2004.

George Whitty is an American musician, composer, record producer, audio engineer and music educator. He won an Emmy Award in 2014 for his work as a composer for the television series, All My Children, and produced three Grammy Award winning CDs (most recently Randy Brecker's 34th N Lex). Whitty was nominated for Emmy Awards for his composing on the long-running TV shows One Life to Live and As the World Turns.

As a musician, he has played and recorded with artists such as Dave Matthews and Santana, Celine Dion, Michael and Randy Brecker (four years on the road, seven albums), Chaka Khan, Richard Bona, Chris Minh Doky, Sadao Watanabe, Grover Washington Jr., Till Brönner and others. And he has performed with Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Carlos Santana, Marcus Miller, Dave Holland and Zakir Hussein.
