Warrant Music and ITI Records are pleased to announce the resurgence (a rising again into life, activity, or prominence) of the ITI label after an absence of over twenty years.
Originally released in 1990 through an arrangement with SPINDLETOP RECORDS, it had received excellent reviewsincluding one from Don Heckman of the LA Times. The Radio “MAC Report” stated that it was a “very impressive debut solo album.”
On this album, John’s group comprised of the young and upcoming GRP saxophonist Eric Marienthal, Jamie Glaser, Barry Coates, Rex Robinson, Michael Fischer and David Crigger.
John’s deceased wife Gloria Rusch sang all the vocals and was highly regarded as a superb solo vocalist. According to Frankie Nemko of Music Connection, “For my money Gloria Rusch is en route to solo stardom. She has a three octave range that will knock your socks off…”
John Novello has recorded and toured with A Taste of Honey, Donna Summer, Manhattan Transfer, Ramsey Lewis, Edgar Winter, Ritchie Cole and Chick Corea. He also began teaching and eventually wrote a huge tome called The Contemporary Keyboardist which has become the bible of contemporary keyboard studies. Besides building his dream studio called Studio 2B3, where he produces and engineers for many of the local LA artists, he also tours and has released albums though his new group called “Niacin”.
